The
Rules
Please
read these rules all the way down to the bottom. It is important that
you understand them.
Updated rules are highlighted
General
-
All
levels of skill are welcome.
-
There
will be absolutely no foul language on this game. No bending this rule by
putting things like exclamation points in place of letters, or anything like
that. Just don't do it.
-
There
will be absolutely no pornography or sex-related material allowed anywhere
on this game. Period.
-
Respect
will be shown to all members.
-
No
out-of-character (OOC) fights will be permitted. Try to remember that this
is a game. If you are having a misunderstanding with another player, you can
e-mail our mediator, irThumper, at irthumper@yahoo.com
, and have your issues resolved. But please just try to co-exist with other
players peacefully, and it will make everything a lot easier for us all.
-
No
power playing. This means that you cannot say that your horse bit a hunk of
flesh out of someone else's horse. You can only say what happens to your
character, not anybody else's.
- No
god playing. This means that you must realize that your character does have
weaknesses. So you cannot make your character dodge absolutely everything,
see absolutely everything, hear absolutely everything... Be realistic.
- You
can age your characters as quickly or as slowly as you like.
- Horses
and Unicorns will be considered juveniles from birth to one year, young
adults from 2 years to 3 years, and adults at age 4 and over. Wolves will be
considered juveniles from birth to one year, young adults at 2 years, and
adults at age 3 and over. Humans are juveniles from birth to 12, young
adults from 13 to 17, and adults at age 18 and over.
- There
will be no new animal territories added unless I (The Owner) decide to make
some.
- You
must be active.
Joining
- Post
your character’s stats (name, gender, age, color, height, etc.) on the
joining board in the area you want to join.
- You
may join as many characters as you like, in as many places as you like, as
long as you keep them active.
- Please
keep your character’s stats realistic. For example, please try not to make
your character a giant, or give it an unrealistic color, or anything like
that.
-
You
may force-claim. However you may only force-claim from the land you are from.
For example, good horses can only force-claim in the good horse joining area,
evils in the evil joining area, and rebels in the rebel joining area. If a
joining post is two or more days old then you may NOT force-claim that
character/s.
-
Female adults
CAN be force-claimed by male adults. Foals/pups may be force-claimed by male
AND female adults only. (Please see the general rules for aging.) This means
that the claimed has no choice and
must go with the one that claimed her. However, this can only be done if
nobody else has replied to the joining post yet, and you can only
force-claim three times per week.
- You
do not have to go with any of the people that invite you to their territory.
The only time you have no choice is when you are force-claimed. Otherwise,
you can go to whatever territory you want. The people who invite you are
just suggesting.
Challenging
- Only
the regular territories are challengeable. (The Main Territories,
Gender Territories, and community areas like the Meeting Places cannot be
challenged for.)
- Males
can only challenge for territories and females.
- Females
can only challenge to leave a male’s herd/pack and for juveniles.
- Males
or females can challenge for the freedom of one who was raided.
- Horses
and unicorns have to be at least four years of age before they can
challenge.
- Wolves
have to be at least three years of age before they can challenge.
- Challenges
will be done by the roll of a die, but if both players agree to it, then you
can have an RP battle (where the fight is played out) to determine challenge
results.
- If
you want, you can arrange a death fight, but both players have to agree to
it.
- If
you win a territory, you do NOT win ownership of its previous inhabitants.
You can invite them to stay if you want, or you can banish the old herd and
start anew.
- If
you win a territory, you can change its stats (the part that says king,
queen, etc.) at the Stats Board, which is linked from Backstage WHI.
Guidelines can be found there.
- Further
explanation on the challenging process can be found on the challenging
boards.
Breeding/Foaling
- There
will be no graphic or “long” breeding allowed on this site. Period.
- Horses
have to be at least four years of age before they can breed.
- Wolves
have to be at least three years of age before they can breed.
- Humans
must be 18 years of age before they can have children.
- Humans
must be married before they can have children (or you can join as being
pregnant).
- Males
are allowed to force-breed females as long as the person who plays the
female is okay with it.
- Further
explanation on the breeding process can be found on the breeding boards.
Raiding:
Animals
- Raiding
consists of going to another territory and stealing females and/or juveniles.
- You
have to be an adult to raid. Both females and males can raid.
- Horses
can raid other horses, or juvenile unicorns.
- Wolves
can raid other wolves, or juvenile horses.
- Unicorns
can raid other unicorns, or horses.
- You
can only raid one female/juvenile per person. However, you CAN form a
raiding party and steal up to the amount in your party.
- If
you want to raid, you go to the territory you are stealing from and post,
saying “I, (your character’s name), raid (name of victim) and hide them
in (the land you are from).” “Land” means like
Angel’s Paradise or Devil’s Point, NOT the specific territory you are
from.
- Then,
after you post the above message, you must hide your victim somewhere. This
is done by posting anywhere in the land you are from, and saying “I, (your
character’s name), hide (name of victim) here.” You can make a new post
at the top of a board, or you can reply to an old thread in the middle or
bottom of a board, to make it harder. Then, somebody (it can be anybody, as
long as they’re an adult) from the herd/pack you raided has to find this
post and reply to it within one week, saying they caught you.
- If
they catch you, then the victim is returned to their herd/pack. If they
don’t, then the victim is yours and the only way they can get them back is
through challenging or raiding.
- If
the week is up and nobody has found your hiding post, everybody has to wait
another full week before anybody can challenge for the victim, the victim
can challenge for their freedom, or the victim can be raided. There has to
be a full week before any of that can be done.
- If
the week is up and nobody has found your hiding post, in order to officially
gain ownership of your victim, you must make a post replying to your
original raid post (the one back at the victim’s territory) and tell
everybody exactly where your hiding post was. That way nobody can accuse you
of cheating. If you do not make a post telling everybody EXACTLY where your
hiding post was, then the raid does not count.
Raiding:
Humans
- Humans
can raid horses, wolves, unicorns, or other humans (“kidnapping”).
- Humans
can raid or kidnap both males and females.
- Both
men and women can raid and kidnap, but they have to be an adult to do so.
- Humans
can raid only one animal (or human victim) per person… but you can form a
raiding party, as well.
- Kidnapping
is done similar to the way that raiding is done with animals (see guidelines
above). Since all humans are in the same “land,” Sunstorm Haven, your
raiding post will say “I, (your character’s name), kidnap (name of
victim), and take him/her to (your specific cabin).” Then they post
anywhere in Sunstorm Haven, and if nobody from the cabin you kidnapped from
can find your post within one week, then you tell everybody where exactly
your post was, and the victim is yours. The only way to get them back is to
kidnap them back. If, however, the people from the victim cabin find your
post, then you will have to return the victim.
- In
order to raid animals, a human posts at the victim territory and states the
desired victim (which can be male or female), and also has to mention in
their post that they’re a human, to avoid confusion. If the victim
doesn’t reply to your post within 36 hours, then you win the victim. Note:
36 hours means 36 hours. If the raid post was posted on 8:10 AM on the 3rd,
then the victim has to post before 8:10 PM on the 4th.
- Note:
An animal victim cannot be raided by a human if the person that plays them
is on vacation, etc., where they will not be able to be online at all for a
specific number of days.
